About the role
Our client, a leader in the Information Technology sector, is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join their high-performing agile team. This role is crucial for supporting a complex and fast-paced program, focusing on system administration and operational maintenance within a geographically distributed network environment.
What you will do
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Installing applications and administrating systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintaining server and desktop configurations for continuous efficiency.
- Performing security management and application performance optimisation.
- Creating and managing complex server enclaves, including vulnerability management and active directory configurations.
- Identifying and resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
- Documenting server/network environments for accurate incident resolution.
- Communicating with users and support personnel regarding system outages and upgrades.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will possess:
- TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph clearance (last poly within the last 6 years).
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field and at least 8 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory.
- Experience with software/hardware deployment, patches, and basic backup functions.
- Familiarity with tools such as SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, and Nessus.
- Knowledge of Red Hat and VMware environments.
- Strong understanding of information security principles and practices.
