About the role
Our client, a leader in the Information Technology sector, is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Engineer / DBA to join their high-performing team. This role is essential in providing support to the Intelligence Community, ensuring the integrity and performance of complex database systems.
What you will do
- Provide guidance and support for database engineering of large-scale systems within a complex network environment.
- Interface with technical managers and project team members in an Agile setting.
- Implement database engineering practices to ensure rigorous standards are met.
- Support database design, development, and information storage and retrieval activities.
- Assist in developing databases and database parser software.
- Translate requirements into usable database schemas and create queries for data manipulation.
- Participate in Program Increment Planning and related Agile team activities.
What we are looking for
- Active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator with proficiency in data migration, replication, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of Oracle and other relational/non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and general SQL.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Bash, Perl, and Python.
- Commitment to best practices and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline is preferred, with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
