About the role
Our client, a leader in the Information Technology sector, is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Engineer/Database Administrator (DBA) to join their high-performing team. This role involves providing crucial support to the Intelligence Community, working on complex systems with stringent interface, performance, and security requirements.
What you will do
- Provide guidance and support for database engineering of large-scale systems and interfacing systems within a complex network environment.
- Collaborate with technical managers, system integration engineers, and other project team members in an Agile setting.
- Implement database engineering practices to ensure rigorous application of engineering standards.
- Support database design, development, implementation, and data analysis activities.
- Assist in developing database structures that align with the overall system architecture.
- Participate in Program Increment Planning and Agile team activities.
What we are looking for
- Active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with proficiency in data migration, replication, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of Oracle and other relational/non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and general SQL.
- Familiarity with scripting languages including JavaScript, Bash, Perl, and Python.
- Commitment to best practices and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
