About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support a nationally significant and fast-paced programme within the Information Technology sector. Our client is a leader in government contracting, providing top-notch Enterprise Security and Cloud Computing solutions. This role requires a solid understanding of security practices, hands-on vulnerability testing experience, and a collaborative spirit.
What you will do
- Validate and verify system security requirements and establish security designs for large-scale systems.
- Identify and implement appropriate information security architectures to ensure uniform application of security policy.
- Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the programme life cycle.
- Collaborate with internal technical experts and communicate with Program Managers regarding significant security issues.
- Participate in security planning, risk analysis, and certification activities for various system operations.
- Evaluate security solutions and assess system implementation against compliance policies.
- Provide configuration management for security-relevant information system software.
- Support risk assessment, risk management, and continuous monitoring functions.
What we are looking for
- TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
- Solid understanding of security practices and hands-on vulnerability testing experience.
- Experience with Risk Management Framework and formulating IT security policy.
- Knowledge of common security tools such as Nessus, NMAP, and Wireshark.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform high-quality work both independently and within a team.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, ISSEP).
