About the role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our client in the manufacturing sector, located in Newton Aycliffe. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to creating healthier, safer working environments for their employees.
What you will do
- Provide professional occupational health case management advice to facilitate early return to work for absent employees.
- Offer guidance on health issues, health promotion, and education to both employers and employees.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to meet service level agreements.
- Conduct health surveillance, including vaccinations and phlebotomy as required.
- Adhere to NMC professional practice and Code of Conduct, ensuring compliance with continuing registration requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical records in accordance with data protection policies.
- Engage with other service teams regarding client and patient queries.
- Complete clinical administration in line with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in clinical audit activities as necessary.
What we are looking for
- Essential:
- Nursing Qualification
- Two years of experience in case management with complex referrals
- NMC registration
- Occupational Health degree/diploma
- Demonstrable equivalent experience within Occupational Health departments
- Experience in client wellness and health promotion activities
- Trained in clinical services including health surveillance, fitness to work medicals, vaccinations, and phlebotomy
- Desirable:
- Experience within the Rail sector
