About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Nursing Director for our client, a prominent healthcare provider in the hospital administration sector. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of the Emergency Department, focusing on quality patient care and staff development.
What you will do
- Implement accountability measures as directed by hospital leadership.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and Joint Commission standards.
- Oversee staff licensure, certifications, and skills updates.
- Develop and monitor departmental policies and procedures.
- Recruit and hire staff to meet departmental needs.
- Maintain effective communication with other departments and medical staff.
- Facilitate Quality Improvement Programs to enhance nursing practices.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources in alignment with strategic goals.
- Coordinate staffing and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
- Promote a collaborative and supportive work environment.
What we are looking for
- Current RN licence with a minimum of 7 years of experience in an Emergency Department.
- Experience as a Charge Nurse or Supervisor is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; an Associate’s degree is required.
- Current certifications in MICN, ACLS, NRP, and PALS.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage resources effectively and drive performance improvement.
Package
