About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Technician to join their team in Jersey. This role involves delivering high-quality health surveillance services across multiple client sites and plays a key part in maintaining the health and wellbeing of employees across a range of industries.
This position includes a 3-week training and induction programme with ongoing mentoring and support. Candidates must reside in Jersey and have access to their own vehicle, as travel across the island is required.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct health surveillance screenings, including audiometry, lung function testing, and baseline measurements (height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis)
Record medical information accurately and pass it to relevant clinical staff
Ensure all equipment is clean, serviceable, and fit for purpose
Support health promotion initiatives and other required tasks
Assist the wider OH team by providing accurate data for clinical decision-making
Provide biometric data to nursing and physician staff to inform patient management
Candidate Requirements
Self-motivated, highly organised, and reliable
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of GDPR and confidentiality in healthcare
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Experience in healthcare roles such as Healthcare Support Worker, Emergency Care Assistant, Ambulance Technician, Army Medic, or similar
Graduates in Sports Science with baseline measurement experience are encouraged to apply
Valid UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months held, at least 21 years old)
Access to own vehicle for travel across Jersey
