Nothing But Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading healthcare organisation in their search for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their Operating Room team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced perioperative nurse to contribute to high-quality patient care in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
The Role
As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their perioperative journey, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective surgical care.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct thorough pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative assessments to ensure patient safety.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and support an efficient operating room workflow.
- Provide age-appropriate and procedure-appropriate nursing care throughout the perioperative process.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the patient’s medical record.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists.
- Participate in the department’s on-call rota, with on-call shifts required weekly.
What You’ll Need
- A current Registered Nurse License or equivalent.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgery and Operating Room Circulating Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
