Start Date: 13 October 2025
Duration: 24 Weeks
Hours: 37 per week
Rate: PAYE £30/hr | Umbrella £39.75/hr
Location: Isle of Wight, UK
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced, qualified Social Worker to join a supportive and friendly team on the beautiful Isle of Wight. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with adults in the community, carrying out reviews, reassessments, and safeguarding work while enjoying all the island has to offer—from stunning beaches to picturesque countryside.
You’ll be helping individuals complete needs assessments using a strengths-based approach, focusing on their abilities, personal networks, and community support. You’ll also play a key role in early interventions to prevent the development of care needs, and in creating person-centred independence plans with input from statutory, non-statutory, and voluntary agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct reviews and reassessments for adults in the community.
Undertake safeguarding enquiries, establish protection plans, and complete timely and accurate records.
Assess and manage risk for individuals, families, carers, and colleagues.
Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to meet service user and carer needs.
Apply legislation and guidance, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
Promote multi-disciplinary working partnerships and act as a liaison where needed.
Maintain a professional approach to enhance the quality of service provided.
Requirements
Social work qualification with experience in adult social care.
Own vehicle and ability to travel across the Isle of Wight (travel allowance provided).
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Why This Role?
Work in a beautiful, welcoming location with a friendly and supportive team.
Competitive pay and travel allowance.
Make a real difference in the lives of adults in your community.
