We are looking for an experienced Band 6 Eating Disorder Clinician to join the Gloucestershire Health and Care Eating Disorders Service at The Brownhill Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and adults, delivering specialist evidence-based interventions and supporting recovery for individuals and families affected by eating disorders.
The Role
Working under the supervision of Lead and Band 7 Clinicians, you will:
- Assess, clinically manage, care coordinate, and treat patients with clinically significant eating disorders
- Develop and implement individual and family-based care plans and communicate these to patients, GPs, and other stakeholders
- Provide evidence-based treatments such as Family-Based Therapy (FBT), CBT-Enhanced (CBT-E), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
- Clinically manage patients at significant physical or psychiatric risk
- Participate in therapeutic groups and urgent assessment rota as required
- Maintain accurate clinical records and complete risk assessments
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, primary care, social care, and educational services
- You will be part of a specialist community team delivering care across three service streams: Front Door Team (FDT), Treatment Team, and Risks High in Eating Disorders Team (RHED).
Requirements
Essential:
- Registered Mental Health or relevant healthcare professional with experience in eating disorders
- Post-qualification experience delivering evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and adults
- Experience in risk assessment and management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for multi-agency liaison
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload
Desirable:
- Experience working in a community-based or specialist eating disorder service
- Experience working with families and carers
Ability to drive (for travel across local community sites)
Pay Rates (Band 6 – NHSI Cap Rates – Paye/umbrella)
Day: ÂŁ22.00 to ÂŁ26.00 per hour
