The Role
As a Registered Nurse in Labour and Delivery, you will utilise your expertise to provide high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns. This role involves working night shifts and is designed for those who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.
What You’ll Do
- Assess, identify, and implement appropriate nursing diagnoses, planning and evaluating patient care.
- Develop and coordinate patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Monitor and communicate patient conditions effectively.
- Advocate for ethical and holistic care, promoting patient autonomy and dignity.
- Facilitate a learning environment for patients, families, and team members.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and adhere to nursing standards and ethics.
- Lead and collaborate with inter-professional teams to integrate nursing knowledge.
What You’ll Need
- Graduation from an accredited nursing programme.
- Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Provider NRP certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics upon hire.
- A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Labour and Delivery environment.
