The Role
As the Nursing Director of Surgical Services, you will be responsible for the effective operation of the nursing department, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and standards while focusing on delivering exceptional patient care. This leadership position requires a strategic approach to budget management, staff supervision, and service quality.
What You’ll Do
- Establish and enforce departmental policies and procedures.
- Direct and supervise staff, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.
- Oversee budget preparation and supply chain management.
- Conduct staff evaluations and manage hiring and training processes.
- Enhance communication and promote a respectful work environment.
- Engage with physicians to improve relations and patient satisfaction.
- Monitor regulatory compliance and quality indicators.
- Support strategies for departmental growth and volume increase.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of five years of nursing management experience in a hospital setting, with at least three years in a supervisory role.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Arizona.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing and certification in Wound Care (WOCN).
