Position: Senior Support Worker
We are advertising an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected residential care provider, known for its commitment to creating positive outcomes for children and young people.
This role involves supporting young people aged 8-18 who have various behavioural and emotional needs. As a Senior Support Worker, you will have the chance to make a significant impact on their lives by being involved in all aspects of their day-to-day activities, providing the care and guidance they need to thrive.

Rate of Pay: £13.40 – £14.22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Shift Pattern: 16 to 24-hour shifts (including sleep-ins), on a one-on-two-off or two-on-four-off rotation
Your Role as a Senior Support Worker:
Lead shifts and step in for the Registered Manager when necessary
Ensure the residential care team stays up-to-date with mandatory training, supporting their development
Communicate care plans with the team and ensure they are implemented effectively
Maintain accurate records to track care and progress
Contribute to team meetings to support communication and staff development
Provide hands-on care and support to the young people, fostering positive relationships
Assist young people in their educational journey, including school or college transport
Help prepare meals and maintain a clean and welcoming environment for the young people
Organize and lead social activities to enrich the young people’s lives
Who We’re Looking For:
A full UK driving licence
A strong desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
12 months of senior experience in a residential care setting is preferred, though applications are also welcome from those early in their care careers
DBS and reference checks will be carried out in line with government regulations and safer recruitment practices
