📍 Location: Pullman Place, Gloucester
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday | 09:00–17:00
📅 Start: ASAP
📆 Contract: 3 Months (Agency)
👥 Vacancies: 2
We are recruiting Band 5 Community Mental Health Nurses to join the Gloucester Recovery Team, based at Pullman Place. This is a community-based role working with adults experiencing severe and enduring mental health conditions, supporting recovery and social inclusion.
This is a solid Monday–Friday role — no nights, no weekends — ideal for nurses who want consistency while working in a clinically robust environment.
The Role
You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary Recovery Team, managing a community caseload and delivering evidence-based mental health interventions to service users with complex needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out mental health assessments, including risk assessment and management
- Developing, implementing and reviewing care plans in partnership with service users and carers
- Acting as Care Coordinator under the Care Programme Approach (CPA) where required
- Supporting service users with medication management, including depot injections
- Working closely with MDT colleagues, primary care, crisis teams, social services and voluntary agencies
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records in line with Trust policy
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to recovery-focused care planning
- You’ll regularly work autonomously in the community, including lone working, so confidence and good clinical judgement are essential.

Essential:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Valid NMC registration
- Post-qualification experience in mental health
- Experience with risk assessment, care planning and CPA
- Ability to work independently in a community setting
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Desirable:
- Community mental health or recovery team experience
- Experience delivering brief evidence-based interventions (e.g. CBT-informed work)
- Experience working alongside multiple agencies
- Driving licence and access to transport
