Mental Health Practitioner Band 6 Contract

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Are you a skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner with a core profession as an RMN? Do you have a background in CAMHS and a passion for supporting children and young people? We are seeking a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic team in West Lancashire CAMHS. This role offers a fulfilling opportunity to contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial assessments (IA) and participate in ward and duty work as needed.
• Act as a case manager, overseeing care plans and ensuring comprehensive support for service users.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) and participate in regular team meetings.
• Deliver person-centred care plans tailored to the needs of children and young people.
• Demonstrate robust risk assessment skills and provide management plans in line with service user needs.
• Liaise with external agencies, carers, and families to ensure holistic care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and signpost to additional resources where appropriate.
• Uphold professional standards and the values of CAMHS within the wider community and service setting.

Pay Rates:
Days: £22 – £26 per hour
Nights/Saturdays: £30 – £34 per hour
Sundays/Bank Holidays: £38 – £44 per hour

Requirements:
Core professional qualification as an RMN (NMC registered) (children or general)
Proven experience working within CAMHS and supporting young people.
Strong skills in risk assessment, case management, and collaborative care planning.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
