About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Executive Support Manager to provide high-level support to a senior leader within Adult Social Care & Health. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of a busy leadership team, ensuring smooth operations and helping drive forward key priorities.
You’ll act as a trusted partner to the Executive Director, providing both direct support and leadership to two Executive Support Officers. The role requires someone who can think strategically, manage complex information, and maintain strong relationships across the organisation.
Experience within Adult Social Care & Health or familiarity with CQC inspection processes would be an advantage, but it isn’t essential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide efficient and modern executive support to the Directorate’s Senior Leadership Team.
Act as a trusted partner and adviser to an Executive Director, ensuring they’re fully briefed and prepared for decision-making.
Line manage and develop two Executive Support Officers.
Forward plan agendas, follow up on key actions, and manage complex information effectively.
Drive forward directorate priorities and policy objectives.
Build strong working relationships across senior leadership and wider corporate teams.
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the Directorate by implementing effective systems and processes.
Support internal communications, policy, and transformation initiatives, helping shape culture change within the organisation.
What You’ll Need
Strong background as an Executive Assistant, Business Manager, or Executive Support Manager at senior level.
Proven ability to work strategically with senior leaders.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Experience managing staff and developing teams.
Ability to handle complex and sensitive information with discretion.
Knowledge of Adult Social Care & Health or CQC inspection processes (desirable but not essential).
