Support Worker Full-time

Our client, a leading provider of care and education for children and young people, is seeking compassionate individuals to join their team as Support Workers. Their staff are friendly, supportive, and dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for the young people in their care, who are aged 8-18 and have a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs.

• A Day in the Role

As a Support Worker, your day might include:

• Helping young people start their day, whether preparing for school or a fun activity like a park visit
• Creating a warm, home-like environment by assisting with tasks such as cleaning, cooking, or laundry
• Supporting young people with homework or engaging in meaningful conversations to build trust
• Accompanying young people to school or activities
• Planning and participating in fun evening or weekend activities, such as playing games or going to the cinema
• Completing necessary paperwork and care plans to ensure continuity of support

Requirements

• Ability to demonstrate values such as friendliness, positivity, and a person-centred approach
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references covering at least two years (including all roles involving children or vulnerable people)
• Desire to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (training provided)
• Previous experience in a residential care setting is desirable but not essential
• DBS and reference checks will be conducted in line with government regulations and safer recruitment practices. The recruitment process may take time due to these essential checks.
