About the role
Nothing But Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading acute care hospital in the healthcare sector, for an experienced Surgery Manager (RN) to lead their Surgical Services team. This is a senior nursing leadership opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in surgical services and proven management experience.
What you will do
As Surgery Manager, you will provide leadership and strategic direction across Surgical Services, overseeing day-to-day operations, clinical standards, staffing, and departmental resources. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing daily Surgical Services operations and quality of patient care
- Providing leadership and strategic direction across multiple departments
- Managing departmental budgets, resources, supplies, and equipment
- Leading performance improvement and problem-solving initiatives
- Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthesiologists, and senior leadership
- Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements
- Overseeing various departments including Operating Room, Pre-Admission Testing, and Endoscopy
- Recruiting, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating staff
- Providing hands-on clinical support as an RN when required
What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with strong surgical services and leadership experience. You will need:
- Current Registered Nurse licence
- BLS certification
- ACLS and/or PALS, where applicable
- Minimum 5 years’ professional experience demonstrating management capability
- 2–3 years’ surgical services experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Willingness to relocate within 30 days
Package
Our client offers a competitive package including:
- Annual salary of $100,000 – $120,000
