Nothing But Recruitment is excited to present an opportunity for a Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician to join a leading organisation in the health and wellbeing sector. The Role
As a Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician, you will travel across the UK, operating a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to deliver essential health surveillance services. This position is ideal for someone looking to expand their skills and experience in a dynamic and rewarding setting.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct health surveillance screenings, including audiometry and lung function testing, as well as baseline measurements like height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis.
- Accurately record all medical information in occupational health records and ensure it is transferred to the relevant clinical staff.
- Maintain all equipment, ensuring it is clean, serviceable, and fit for purpose.
- Support health promotion activities and perform additional tasks as required.
- Assist the wider occupational health team by gathering and recording information to support clinical decision-making.
- Provide biometric data through screening procedures to assist nursing and physician staff in patient management decisions.
What You’ll Need
- A strong understanding of GDPR and the ability to effectively deliver health promotion and health surveillance services.
- Exceptional time management skills and outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- The capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Approachable with excellent interpersonal skills, adept at building positive working relationships.
- Experience in roles such as Healthcare Support Worker, Emergency Care Assistant, or similar, is desirable. Graduates with a degree in Sports Science are also encouraged to apply, provided they have experience in performing baseline measurements.
- A valid manual UK driving licence, held for a minimum of 12 months, and applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
What’s on Offer
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, typically from 8 am to 6 pm. The salary ranges from £25,000 to £27,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
