Location: Wrexham, Wales
Pay: £28.22 PAYE / £36.26 Umbrella (per hour)
Contract: 26 weeks, full-time (37 hours per week)

About the Role
Nothing But Recruitment is looking for three experienced and qualified Social Workers to join a Children’s Enhanced Team in Wrexham.
You’ll be working with a varied caseload, including high-risk and complex situations. This could involve child protection, care & support, deprivation of liberty, cases subject to court proceedings, and school attendance issues. You’ll be making key decisions that directly impact the lives of children, young people, families, and carers.
Day to day, you’ll be:
Carrying out assessments and creating tailored care/support plans.
Making sure support packages are delivered within budget and meet real needs.
Taking part in a duty rota, responding quickly to urgent cases and crises.
Working closely with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Acting as a role model by supporting and mentoring less experienced staff and students.
This is a role where you’ll need to balance independent decision-making with strong partnership working — always keeping the child at the centre.
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Social Worker with registration.
Strong experience handling complex cases (Child Protection, PLO, Court Proceedings).
Background in multi-agency working.
Confident in crisis management and decision-making.
Able to provide mentoring/supervision to others.
Additional Info
Office-based 3 days per week (with flexibility).
IR35 status: Inside.
Long-term temporary contract (26 weeks, with potential for extension).
