Position: Senior Support Worker (Children’s Residential)
Hourly Rate: £13.40 – £14.22 (based on experience/qualifications)
Overtime Rate: 1.25
Contract: 25 hours per week (Late shifts: 4pm – 11pm)
Shift Pattern: Two-week rolling rota with every second weekend off
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting young people with complex needs in a residential setting. You will help guide them through daily life while contributing to their personal and academic growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference.

What You’ll Do:
Lead shifts and step in for the Registered Manager when necessary
Oversee the development and learning of Residential Care Workers, ensuring they are up to date with mandatory training
Ensure care plans are implemented effectively, keeping the team informed
Maintain accurate written records for monitoring and evaluation
Contribute to team meetings to support communication and development
Provide daily care and support to young people
Help young people with their educational journey, assisting with school or college travel
Assist with meal preparation and maintain the residential environment (cleaning, laundry, etc.)
Plan and coordinate social activities for young people
Who We’re Looking For:
Full UK driving licence required
Commitment to earning a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
At least 12 months of experience in a residential care setting is ideal, though we welcome applicants who are just beginning their journey in this field
Successful completion of DBS and reference checks as part of safer recruitment practices
