Nothing But Recruitment is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join a children’s residential service supporting young people aged 8–18 with a range of emotional and behavioural needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior role, lead shifts, and help shape the development of both young people and staff.
The role:
Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
Support, supervise and guide Residential Care Workers to ensure high standards of care.
Oversee care plans and ensure effective implementation.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to regular monitoring and evaluation.
Take part in team meetings to support communication and staff development.
Provide direct care and emotional support to young people.
Encourage engagement in education and daily living skills.
Support with activities, social events, and day-to-day home responsibilities.
Act as a role model, promoting positive outcomes and personal development.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 12 months’ experience in a residential setting (senior experience desirable but not essential).
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Commitment to achieving or holding a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
Passion for helping young people achieve their full potential.
