About the Role
We’re looking for three experienced Adult Social Workers to join a fast-paced, supportive team in Merseyside. This is a temporary role designed to provide support with additional workload, but it’s also a great opportunity to get stuck into meaningful social work and make an immediate impact.
You’ll carry your own caseload, take on duty twice weekly, and play a key role in supporting adults with a range of needs – from learning disabilities and physical disabilities to mental health and complex social circumstances.
This is a hybrid role with at least 2 days a week based in Halewood. A car driver is essential due to the nature of the work.
Key Responsibilities
Manage your own caseload and effectively prioritise workload.
Undertake assessments, safeguarding enquiries, Mental Capacity Act assessments, Best Interest Meetings, and CHC/DST processes.
Create and commission support plans to promote independence.
Identify, manage, and escalate risk where necessary.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies including Rapid Response, Reablement, Housing, Drugs & Alcohol Services, and Health colleagues.
Contribute to a team ethos focused on short-term interventions and maximising independence.
What You’ll Need
Recent experience as an Adult Social Worker.
Registration with SWE (Social Work England).
Clean DBS check.
Strong ability to manage caseloads, prioritise, and work independently.
A car driver with access to your own vehicle.
