About the Service
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established children’s residential provider for a small, specialist 5-bed home supporting children and young people aged 8–18 with learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
This is a highly child-centred service focused on delivering structured, nurturing care that promotes independence, emotional development, and positive life outcomes.
The home provides a stable, therapeutic environment where consistency, safeguarding, and personalised support are at the core of everything done.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to take full operational and regulatory responsibility for the home.
You will lead from the front, setting the tone for the service, developing your team, and ensuring every young person receives safe, high-quality, individualised care.
This is a leadership role where expectations are high, standards are non-negotiable, and your impact will be directly felt in the outcomes of the children you support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day running of a 5-bed children’s residential home
Manage, support, and develop a dedicated staff team
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations
Oversee care planning, ensuring tailored support for each child
Maintain strong safeguarding practices across the service
Manage budgets and ensure effective use of resources
Drive continuous improvement and high-quality care delivery
Promote independence, confidence, and positive relationships for young people
About You
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Registered Manager or strong Deputy ready to step up
Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks
Experience within learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities (preferred)
Confident, resilient leadership style with the ability to motivate teams
Strong communication and organisational skills
Genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people
