PAYE: £30.71 per hour
Umbrella/Ltd: £39.72 per hour

The Role
I’m looking for an experienced Senior Social Work Practitioner to join a Children’s Services team on a temporary basis. This role sits at a senior practitioner level and is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys stepping into a team that needs strong professional input while permanent recruitment is underway.
What you’ll be doing:
Taking a lead role in complex children and families’ cases.
Supporting and mentoring less experienced social workers within the team.
Ensuring high-quality, consistent decision-making in line with statutory requirements.
Working closely with families, carers, and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
What you’ll need:
Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Care Wales (or ability to register).
Proven track record in Children’s Services, ideally at Senior Practitioner level.
Strong knowledge of legislation and safeguarding practices.
Confidence in handling challenging caseloads and guiding colleagues.
