About the Role
NBR is seeking a skilled and experienced Med/Surg Nurse Manager for a hospital-based position in Wilson, North Carolina. This is a full-time leadership role for a Registered Nurse with solid clinical management experience and a strong grasp of regulatory compliance in an inpatient environment.

Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, you’ll play a key role in operational leadership, patient outcomes, and staff development across the Medical-Surgical unit.

What You’ll Be Doing
This is a highly collaborative role focused on leading a team, driving quality, and ensuring delivery of patient- and family-centered care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the daily operations and clinical oversight of the Med/Surg department
• Aligning unit activities with the organization’s strategic goals and values
• Developing and implementing departmental objectives, policies, and best practices
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth transitions of care and optimal resource use
• Ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards
• Creating an environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth
• Coaching and mentoring nursing staff to consistently deliver high-quality care

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing – required
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina or compact multistate license – required
• Experience with Joint Commission standards and other regulatory agencies – required
• Proven leadership experience in a hospital-based Med/Surg or acute care setting

• Virtual interview with the Senior Nursing Director
• On-site panel interview with department leadership
