Position: Senior Support Worker
We are currently advertising on behalf of our client, a leading provider of care and education for children and young people. The young people in their care, aged 8-18, have a variety of emotional and behavioral needs, and they are looking for compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Senior Support Workers to help improve their lives.
Key Benefits:
Rate of Pay: £13.40 – £14.22 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Management Development Programme for career progression from Support Worker to Registered Manager
Shift Pattern: 16 to 24 hours (including sleep-ins), on a one-on-two-off or two-on-four-off basis
Key Responsibilities:
Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager when required
Ensure Residential Care Workers are up to date with mandatory training and support their individual development
Raise awareness of individual care plans within the team and assist with their implementation
Maintain accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets, and files to track and evaluate care progress
Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
Provide care and support to young people in the service
Assist young people with their educational needs and reintegration into education, or support current schooling efforts
Accompany young people to and from school or college
Prepare meals and ensure the home environment is clean and well-maintained
Organise and facilitate social activities

What We’re Looking For:
Full UK driving licence
Passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact
Willingness to pursue a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification in the Children & Young People’s workforce
A minimum of 12 months senior experience in a residential care setting is highly desirable, but applications are welcome from those starting their career
DBS and reference checks will be completed in line with safer recruitment practices
