We are currently working with a respected provider of care and education services for children and young people. The young people in their care, aged between 8-18 years, have a range of emotional and behavioural needs. Rate of Pay: £13.40 – £14.22 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Management Development Programme to help you progress from Support Worker to Registered Manager
Shift Pattern: 16 to 24 hours (including sleep-ins), on a one-on-two-off or two-on-four-off basis
Role Responsibilities:
Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager when required
Ensure the Residential Care Workers are up to date with mandatory training and support their development
Raise awareness of individual care plans and help implement them effectively
Maintain accurate written records for monitoring and evaluation of care plans
Contribute to team and staff meetings to promote communication and staff development
Provide support and care to the young people in the service
Encourage young people in their preparation to re-enter education or engage in current schooling
Transport young people to and from school or college
Prepare meals and maintain a clean and welcoming home environment
Organise and facilitate social activities

What We’re Looking For:
Full UK driving licence
A willingness to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent in Children & Young People’s workforce
12 months of senior experience in a residential care setting is highly desirable, but we also welcome applications from those new to the role
DBS and reference checks will be conducted in line with safer recruitment practices
