Location: Whiston Hospital (Merseyside) – office-based 2–3 days per week
Contract: Temporary, 3 months (initially)
Start Date: October 2025
Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week (Mon–Fri, 9–5)
Rate: £23.00 per hour PAYE / £30.07 per hour Umbrella
The Role
We’re looking for two qualified and experienced Adult Social Workers to join a busy Mental Health social work team. This role focuses on carrying out Care Act duties alongside other core responsibilities within adult social care.
This is a front-line position where you’ll be office-based at Whiston Hospital 2–3 days a week, with the rest of your time supporting service users as part of a multidisciplinary team.
What You’ll Be Doing
Undertaking Care Act assessments and reviews
Supporting service users with mental health needs
Working collaboratively with health professionals and other stakeholders
Managing safeguarding concerns and interventions
Ensuring statutory requirements are met and recorded accurately
About You
We’re seeking candidates who:
Hold a recognised Social Work qualification and are registered with Social Work England
Have strong experience in safeguarding (SG) and mental health (MH) settings
Are confident decision-makers with excellent communication skills
Can adapt quickly to a busy team environment
