Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician – Portsmouth

About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician to join their expanding mobile team. In this hands-on role, you will travel across the UK, driving a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to deliver high-quality health surveillance services at client sites.
This is a varied and rewarding role, with a 3-week training and induction programme and ongoing mentoring to support your development. The position requires regular overnight stays and the ability to park the MMU at or near your home overnight.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct health surveillance screenings including audiometry, lung function testing, and baseline measurements (height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis)
Accurately record medical information in OH records and pass to clinical staff
Maintain equipment to ensure it is clean, serviceable, and fit for purpose
Assist in health promotion activities and other additional tasks
Support the wider OH team by gathering accurate data for clinical decision-making
Provide biometric data to support nursing and physician staff in clinical decisions
Candidate Requirements
Experience in healthcare roles such as Healthcare Support Worker, Emergency Care Assistant, Ambulance Technician, Ambulance Assistant, Emergency Care Technician, or Army Medic
Graduates in Sports Science with baseline measurement experience are also encouraged to apply
Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently or in a team
Strong time management and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of GDPR and data confidentiality in healthcare
Valid UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months held, at least 21 years old)
Comfortable with overnight travel and using a company or personal vehicle for initial transport of the MMU
