Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician – Coventry & Warwick

Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 per year (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician to join their expanding mobile team. In this hands-on role, you will travel across the UK, driving a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to client sites to deliver high-quality health surveillance services.
This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for candidates looking to gain hands-on OH experience, with a 3-week training and induction programme and ongoing mentoring provided. Candidates must be located in the Coventry & Warwick area, have access to a vehicle, and be comfortable with overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct health surveillance screenings, including audiometry, lung function testing, and baseline measurements (height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis)
Accurately record medical information and provide it to clinical staff
Maintain equipment to ensure it is clean, serviceable, and fit for purpose
Support health promotion initiatives and other ad hoc tasks
Provide biometric data to nursing and physician staff to inform clinical decisions
Assist the wider OH team with accurate data collection and reporting
Candidate Requirements
Experience in healthcare roles such as Healthcare Support Worker, Emergency Care Assistant, Ambulance Technician, Ambulance Assistant, Emergency Care Technician, or Army Medic
Graduates in Sports Science with baseline measurement experience are encouraged to apply
Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently or in a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of GDPR and data confidentiality in healthcare
Valid UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months held, at least 21 years old)
Ability to park the MMU at or near home overnight and travel extensively, including overnight stays
Travel & Work-Life Balance
Regular overnight travel; typically away 3 out of 4 weeks, returning home on Fridays
Diary visibility 6 weeks in advance to support planning
