Wellbeing Physiologist Full-time

Role Overview:
We are seeking an ambitious and self-motivated Wellbeing Physiologist to join a growing Wellbeing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate based in the Birmingham area who is passionate about supporting individuals in their wellness journeys. The role is on-site, full-time (37.5 hours per week), with working hours from 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be based in Birmingham and must be prepared to travel to client sites as required.

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (depending on experience).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lifestyle clinical assessments for patients.
• Provide evidence-based advice tailored to patients’ health profiles (e.g., adiposity, biochemistry, blood screening) and their stage of behaviour change.
• Formulate and implement written action plans based on treatment prescriptions, modified for the applicable stage of change.
• Set positive and realistic goals, coaching patients to realise their potential.
• Support patients with lifestyle-induced diseases to make sustainable lifestyle choices for better chronic disease management.
• Assist and reassure clients during medical tests.
• Deliver evidence-based exercise sessions to groups.
• Utilise specialised equipment to perform clinical physiological tests.
• Record, analyse, and interpret physiological and clinical data, assessing patients’ clinical risk and escalating to GP or OH practitioners when necessary.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment in line with company policies.
• Ensure sensitive personal information is protected in compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
• Support the preparation and delivery of educational workshops and health & wellbeing webinars.
• Design and promote health campaigns to empower employees to make informed health decisions.
• Act as a health and wellbeing role model, ambassador, and team player.
• Stay updated on industry knowledge through continued research and learning.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in delivering health assessments or knowledge of clinical measures.
• Ability to provide evidence-based advice and interpret clinical data.
• Understanding of workplace wellness, wellbeing strategies, and interventions.
• Background in Sport Science, Exercise Physiology, Sports Therapy, Nutritional Expertise, Sports Rehabilitation, or similar fields.
• Previous experience in a sport, medical, health, wellbeing, or fitness environment.
• Knowledge of human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology, or nutrition.
• Qualified to at least degree level or equivalent in Sports Science, Health Science, Exercise Physiology, or Sports Therapy.
• Willingness to travel; full UK driving licence and own transport required.
