About the Service
We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist residential children’s home supporting young people who have experienced child sexual exploitation (CSE) and associated complex trauma.
The home is registered to accommodate young people aged 10–18 (17 on admission) and provides a highly structured, therapeutic environment focused on safety, trust-building, and emotional recovery.
This is a specialist trauma-informed service where staff are trained to recognise signs of exploitation, respond sensitively, and work in a way that avoids re-traumatisation. The emphasis is on consistent, non-judgemental care and long-term relationship building to support recovery and stability.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and resilient Registered Manager to lead this specialist service.
You will take full operational responsibility for the home, ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant, and highly therapeutic care for young people who have experienced significant trauma.
This is a senior leadership role requiring strong safeguarding expertise, emotional intelligence, and the ability to maintain a highly consistent and reflective team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the overall operation of a specialist CSE residential children’s home
Ensure the delivery of safe, trauma-informed, and high-quality care
Lead, supervise, and develop a skilled residential staff team
Maintain full compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks
Oversee individualised care planning with a focus on recovery and stability
Ensure staff practice is consistently non-judgemental, reflective, and trauma-informed
Manage staffing, rotas, budgets, and operational performance
Build strong multi-agency relationships with social care, police, and therapeutic services
Drive continuous improvement and maintain high service standards
About You
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Registered Manager or strong Deputy Manager ready to step up
Strong understanding of safeguarding, exploitation, and complex trauma
Experience working with CSE, exploitation, or high-risk adolescent services (highly desirable)
Confident and reflective leader with strong emotional resilience
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to lead and develop a specialist, high-sensitivity staff team
Committed to trauma-informed and child-centred practice
