Nothing But Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a small, high-quality residential short break/respite service for children with complex needs. This service supports children aged 5–18 with learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Global Delay, and other special needs.
About the Role:
As Registered Manager, you will oversee a maximum 3-bed short break/respite home, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, child-centred care. You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, where each child’s individual needs are at the heart of everything the service provides. Your leadership will empower staff to build positive, curative relationships with children and support their emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
– Leadership & Management: Lead a dedicated team to provide outstanding care for children with complex needs.
– Child-Centred Care: Ensure all care is based on individual needs, promoting choice, independence, and empowerment.
– Compliance: Maintain adherence to all regulatory standards and safeguarding requirements.
– Team Development: Recruit, train, and support staff in delivering high-quality, empathetic care.
– Assessment & Planning: Oversee personalized care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
– Quality Assurance: Implement systems to continuously monitor and improve service delivery.
Requirements:
– Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or equivalent
– Proven management experience in residential childcare or short break/respite settings
– Knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding, and care standards
– Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
– Passion for working with children with complex needs
– Commitment to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and safe environment
