Job Title: Occupational Health Technician
Location: Barrow in Furness
Full-Time: Monday to Thursday 7:15am to 4:00pm, Friday 7:15am to 11:45am (with occasional night shifts required)
My client, a leading provider of occupational health services, is seeking an Occupational Health Technician to join their multidisciplinary team in Barrow in Furness. Role Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering health screening services, supporting health promotion activities, and ensuring that all medical information is accurately recorded. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, undertaking a range of health assessments, including baseline measurements and testing, and ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct health screening procedures in line with company protocols, including baseline measurements (height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis).
Perform audiometry and lung function testing.
Deliver health promotion activities and support employee wellbeing.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all equipment is clean, serviceable, and ready for use.
Adhere to all relevant health and safety guidelines.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in occupational health is beneficial but not essential.
Suitable backgrounds include Healthcare Assistants, Fitness Instructors, Ambulance EMTs, Military Medics, Offshore Medics, etc.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
IT literate and able to manage data effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
Knowledge of patient confidentiality and the ability to work within professional boundaries.
A sound educational background, with a good standard of numeracy and written English.
Ability to work effectively under supervision and recognize limits of practice.
Salary:
£23,400 per annum
