Nothing But Recruitment is looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a Children’s Residential service for young people aged 8–18. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills who is passionate about making a long-term impact on the lives of young people.
The role:
Assist the Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the service.
Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.
Manage, support and supervise staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Undertake direct work with children and young people, acting as a positive role model.
Lead on managing child protection concerns and complaints.
Work in partnership with external professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
Ensure compliance with care quality standards and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
Oversee placement plans and ensure they are effectively implemented.
Contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for:
NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or equivalent).
At least 12 months’ experience in a residential setting with young people displaying challenging behaviour, including supervisory experience.
Knowledge of safeguarding, Children’s Homes Regulations, and the Ofsted inspection framework.
Strong leadership, supervision, and team-building skills.
Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
Full UK driving licence (essential due to service location and requirements).
