Position: Senior Support Worker
We are working with a leading care provider looking for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join their team. This organisation is committed to providing high-quality care and education to young people aged 8 to 18, who have a range of emotional and behavioural needs. The team works together to create a supportive environment where each young person can thrive and reach their potential.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play an important role in all aspects of the young people’s daily lives, making a direct and positive impact on their development.

Shift Pattern:
16-24 hours (including sleep-in) on a one-on-two-off or two-on-four-off basis
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Support Worker, your duties will include:
Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager as needed
Ensuring that Residential Care Workers are up to date with mandatory training and supporting their development
Communicating with the team and ensuring individual care plans are implemented effectively
Maintaining accurate records and logs for monitoring and evaluation purposes
Contributing to team meetings to encourage communication and staff development
Providing support and care to young people, assisting with their personal growth and well-being
Supporting young people with their education, encouraging re-engagement with school or college
Transporting young people to and from school or college
Preparing meals and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Organising and facilitating social activities for the young people

Requirements:
Full UK driving licence
A desire to work towards earning a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification in the Children & Young People’s Workforce
12 months senior experience in a residential setting is highly desirable, but we encourage applications from those starting their journey in care
DBS and reference checks will be completed in line with government regulations and safer recruitment practices
