Senior Support Worker Full-time

A Day in the Role

A typical day as a Senior Support Worker may include:

• Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager when required
• Supporting the team of Residential Care Workers with mandatory training and individual development
• Communicating with the on-site team about individual care plans and their implementation
• Maintaining accurate records for monitoring and evaluation
• Contributing to team and staff meetings to enhance communication and development
• Providing direct support and care to young people
• Supporting young people’s engagement with education
• Assisting with travel to and from school or college
• Preparing meals and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment
• Organising and facilitating social activities

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• Desire to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
• 12 months of senior experience in a residential setting is desirable, but applications from those earlier in their career are welcome
• DBS and reference checks will be conducted in line with government regulations and safer recruitment practices. The recruitment process may take time due to these essential checks.
