Position: Senior Support Worker

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be involved in all aspects of the young people’s daily lives, playing a crucial role in helping them reach their full potential and ensuring they receive the support they need.
Key Benefits:
Pay: £13.40 – £14.22 per hour (based on experience/qualifications)

Management Development Programme with opportunities to progress from Support Worker to Registered Manager and beyond
Shift Pattern: 16 to 24-hour shifts (including sleep-ins), on a one-on-two-off or two-on-four-off basis
Key Responsibilities:
Lead shifts and act as deputy to the Registered Manager as required
Ensure the team of Residential Care Workers remains up-to-date with all mandatory training and provide support for their individual development
Collaborate with the team to raise awareness and implement individual care plans
Maintain accurate written records to monitor and evaluate the progress of care
Contribute to staff meetings to promote communication and staff development
Offer support and care to the young people, encouraging their growth and development
Assist young people in their education, including travel to and from school or college
Prepare meals and maintain the home’s cleanliness and welcoming environment
Organize and lead social activities to engage the young people
While no two days are the same, this role provides you with the opportunity to make a significant, positive difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.
What We’re Looking For:
A full UK driving licence
A passion for supporting young people and the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
12 months of senior experience in a residential setting is highly desirable, but applications from those at the beginning of their journey are also welcome
DBS and reference checks will be completed in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practices
