Job Title: Remote Case Manager (Occupational Health Advisor)

My client is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor / Remote Case Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role in supporting employee health and wellbeing remotely across multiple sites. You will be responsible for providing expert advice, managing a caseload, and delivering telephone consultations to assess health needs and offer tailored recommendations for workplace support.
Role Overview:
In this role, you will conduct remote health assessments, offer advice on work capability, and develop and implement return-to-work plans. You’ll collaborate closely with employees, employers, and healthcare professionals to manage cases effectively and ensure appropriate workplace adjustments are made. You’ll also play an active role in health surveillance, health promotion initiatives, and maintaining accurate and confidential medical records in line with professional standards and GDPR guidelines.
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home while remaining an integral part of a dynamic team. You’ll have access to bespoke IT software to manage cases and generate high-quality reports, while receiving continual support and development in an inclusive and balanced work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct remote health assessments and telephone consultations to assess health needs and advise on appropriate support.
Develop and implement return-to-work plans in collaboration with employees, employers, and healthcare professionals.
Advise on workplace adjustments, health surveillance, and health promotion initiatives.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with professional standards and GDPR.
Manage a daily caseload of employee cases and provide expert advice on work capability.
Skills & Experience:
Qualified Registered General Nurse with experience in Occupational Health.
Ideally, a diploma or degree in Occupational Health.
Previous experience in Travel Health.
Experience in a commercial occupational health setting.
Proven experience in case management and confident in managing a daily caseload.
Strong knowledge of occupational health and employment legislation.
Registration with NMC part 1.
Proficient in IT systems and report writing.
