The Role
Nothing But Recruitment is looking for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join a Children & Families team in Retford. This role involves working directly with children, young people, families, and carers, carrying out assessments and planning services to ensure positive outcomes.
You’ll be office-based, working 37 hours per week, so applicants must be able to drive to the area.
Key Responsibilities
Lead inclusive assessments of strengths, vulnerabilities, and risks in line with practice frameworks.
Develop and review outcome-focused care and support plans for children and families.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver effective services.
Maintain accurate case records, reports, and electronic records in line with departmental procedures.
Model a strengths-based approach to practice and promote best practice across the team.
Participate in team meetings, case discussions, supervision, and service development activities.
Provide mentoring support to less experienced social workers.
Ensure compliance with Social Work England standards, legislation, and departmental policies.
Demonstrate continuous professional development, with opportunities to pursue post-qualifying awards.
About You
We’re looking for a committed and qualified social worker with a passion for safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and families.
Social Work England (SWE) registered.
Qualified Social Worker (Degree, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent).
Experience in statutory children’s services, including assessments and care planning.
Strong understanding of legislation, safeguarding procedures, and best practice frameworks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-agency environment.
