We’re seeking a Scientist I to join a cutting-edge biotech team advancing cell therapies, including CAR-T, TILs, and other innovative modalities. This role will support analytical development efforts, helping characterize and release products while contributing to assay development and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, plan, and execute experiments to evaluate cell identity, purity, and potency.
Develop and optimize analytical methods including flow cytometry, ddPCR, ELISA, and functional co-culture assays.
Conduct studies to support assay qualification and technology transfer to QC.
Manage routine laboratory operations including equipment maintenance, reagent prep, inventory, and ordering.
Analyze and interpret experimental data, preparing detailed reports and technical documentation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with process development, quality control, quality assurance, and regulatory teams.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
Present scientific updates and project results to internal teams and leadership.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biology, Immunology, or related field, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
0–1+ years of industry experience preferred, especially in cell and gene therapy or analytical development.
Strong foundation in cell biology and/or immunology; knowledge of CAR-T and TILs a plus.
Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISA, PCR, and functional assays.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other laboratory software tools.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Laboratory and office environments; frequent standing, walking, sitting, and computer use.
Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 20 lbs.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment when required.
