Hours: 37 per week (5 days) – hybrid working: 2–3 days in the office; full office attendance during duty week (1 in 4)
Rate: £21.20 per hour PAYE / £22.28 per hour Limited/Umbrella
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join a busy and fast-paced Family and Assessment Support Team. You will work with children in need (CIN), child protection (CP), and children in care (CIC) through to long-term care planning and adoption.
This role requires someone confident in completing assessments, producing reports for conferences, CIC reviews, and court, as well as chairing meetings and undertaking direct work with children and families. You will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to deliver high-quality social care.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and manage cases for CIN, CP, and CIC children
Prepare reports for conferences, reviews, and court
Chair meetings and facilitate care planning processes
Undertake direct work with children and families
Maintain timely and accurate records and assessments
Participate in monthly supervision and contribute to a supportive team environment
About You
Social care qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent)
Experienced in statutory social work with children and families
Confident managing complex cases with autonomy
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
Able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care
