Rate: PAYE £16.10/hr | Umbrella £21.17/hr
About the Role:
Nothing But Recruitment is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic social care team on a temporary basis. You will provide vital occupational therapy interventions for adults and children, helping them maintain independence and live safely in their own homes. This role is a hybrid position, with the induction requiring more office presence initially.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments for adults and children with disabilities and arrange equipment and adaptations to maximise safety and independence. Experience with DFG (Disabled Facilities Grant) processes is essential.
Undertake risk assessments for complex moving and handling situations and create effective management plans.
Work closely with service users and carers to develop support plans and access Direct Payments.
Recommend assistive technologies and provide demonstrations to ensure safe use.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and monitor support plans for ongoing effectiveness.
Collaborate with health and social care professionals to ensure seamless transitions for service users.
Engage in continuous professional development and support service improvements.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
HCPC Registration
Experience:
Experience in adult social work or adult health settings
Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
Experience with DFG processes and housing adaptations
Knowledge & Skills:
Understanding of the Care Act 2014 and current health and social care agenda
Ability to perform holistic assessments and evaluate risks
Strong communication skills and ability to work in partnership with other professionals
IT literacy, including databases, spreadsheets, and email
Organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise workload effectively
