Position: Senior Support Worker
We are currently seeking a Senior Support Worker to join a leading provider of care and education for children and young people. The team you’ll be joining is dedicated, friendly, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for the young people under our care.
The young people we support are aged between 8-18 years and have a range of behavioural and emotional needs. We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible, and caring individuals to help us make a positive difference in their lives.

Rate of pay: £13.40 – £14.22 per hour (depending on experience/qualifications)

Shift pattern: 16–24 hours (including sleep-in) on a one-on-two-off or two-on-four-off basis
Key Responsibilities:
No two days are the same, but as a Senior Support Worker, your day could involve:
Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager when needed
Ensuring that the team of Residential Care Workers are up to date with mandatory training and supporting their individual development
Communicating with the on-site team regarding care plans and their implementation
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring regular monitoring and evaluation
Contributing to team meetings and promoting staff development
Providing support and care to the young people
Encouraging young people to engage in their education or support their transition back into education
Traveling with young people to school or college
Preparing meals and maintaining a clean and positive environment in the home
Organising social activities for the young people

Requirements:
Full UK driving licence
Desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification in the Children & Young People’s Workforce
12 months of senior experience in a residential setting is preferred, but we encourage applications from those at the start of their journey
Successful candidates will undergo DBS and reference checks in line with safer recruitment regulations
