Position: Senior Support Worker
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected provider of care and education services for children and young people. The young people in their care, aged 8-18, have a range of emotional and behavioral needs. They are looking for passionate, energetic, and caring individuals to join their team and help make a real difference in the lives of the young people they support.
Key Benefits:
Rate of Pay: £13.40 – £14.22 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Management Development Programme to help you progress from Support Worker to Registered Manager
Shift Pattern: 16 to 24 hours (including sleep-ins), on a one-on-two-off or two-on-four-off basis
Role Responsibilities:
Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager when required
Ensure Residential Care Workers are up to date with mandatory training and provide support for their development
Raise awareness of individual care plans and support their implementation
Maintain accurate written records for monitoring and evaluation of care plans
Contribute to team and staff meetings to promote good communication and staff development
Provide support and care to the young people in the service
Encourage young people to re-enter education or engage in their current schooling
Transport young people to and from school or college
Prepare meals and maintain the home environment (cleaning, laundry, etc.)
Organise and facilitate social activities

What We’re Looking For:
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification in the Children & Young People’s workforce
12 months of senior experience in a residential care setting is highly desirable, though applications are also welcome from individuals beginning their career journey
DBS and reference checks will be conducted in line with safer recruitment guidelines
