Position: Senior Support Worker
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of care and education for children and young people. The young people in their care, aged 8-18, have a range of emotional and behavioural needs. They are looking for passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Senior Support Workers to make a positive impact in their lives.
Key Benefits:
Rate of Pay: £13.40 – £14.22 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Management Development Programme offering career progression from Support Worker to Registered Manager
Shift Pattern: 16 to 24 hours (including sleep-ins), on a one-on-two-off or two-on-four-off basis
Key Responsibilities:
Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager when required
Ensure the Residential Care Workers are up to date with mandatory training and support their individual development
Raise awareness of individual care plans and assist with their implementation
Maintain accurate written records to track and evaluate care plans
Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
Provide support and care to young people in the service
Encourage young people to re-enter education or support their engagement in current schooling
Travel with young people to and from school or college
Prepare meals and maintain a clean and welcoming home environment
Organise and facilitate social activities

What We’re Looking For:
Full UK driving licence
Passion for working with young people and making a positive difference in their lives
Willingness to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification in the Children & Young People’s workforce
At least 12 months of senior experience in a residential care setting is highly desirable, although applications from those at the start of their journey are also welcome
DBS and reference checks will be completed in line with safer recruitment practices
