The Role
We are looking for a skilled Youth Justice Case Manager to join a dynamic Youth Justice Service team. In this role, you will support children and young people to prevent offending and help those who have offended to make positive changes. You will be responsible for safeguarding, managing risk, and coordinating tailored interventions, working closely with partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children and the community.
This role involves working with complex cases, including children involved in Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA), and contributing to programme development, quality assurance, and team learning.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate complex youth justice cases, including assessment, planning, and intervention
Deliver direct work with children and families in line with intervention plans
Prepare detailed reports for courts, youth panels, and conferences
Chair reviews and represent the service at partnership meetings
Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to manage high-risk and vulnerable children
Maintain accurate records using case management systems
Contribute to service development and reflective learning practices
Participate in office duty rota and occasional evening/weekend work as required
About You
Social care qualified (e.g., Social Work, Diploma in Probation Studies, Dip HE Youth & Community, or relevant youth/criminal justice degree)
Experience in youth justice, safeguarding, and working with children at risk of offending
Knowledge of criminal justice and child welfare legislation, frameworks, and best practice
Skilled in assessment, intervention planning, and managing risk
Excellent communication, report writing, and organisational skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
Committed to professional development and supervision
Additional Requirements
Enhanced DBS clearance
Driving license with access to a vehicle for business use
Legally entitled to work in the UK
