IT Systems Administrator – Texas Full-time

Overview

Our client, a forward-thinking technology organization in Texas, is looking for an IT Systems Administrator to manage and optimize their critical IT infrastructure. We are a recruitment agency working on their behalf to find the right candidate for this permanent position. This role involves supporting a wide range of systems in a collaborative environment, contributing to the success of a company at the forefront of innovation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and virtualized environments.
• Manage Active Directory, group policies, and user accounts.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with our client’s cybersecurity teams on secure configurations and patch management.
• Support end-users with hardware and software issues.
• Contribute to IT projects, including system upgrades and disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications such as MCSA, CompTIA Network+, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of server administration, networking, and cloud technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
