Position: Senior Support Worker
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to join a leading care and education provider for children and young people. The team you’ll be joining is supportive, friendly, and focused on making a meaningful difference in the lives of the young people in our care.
The young people we support range from 8 to 18 years old and have a variety of behavioural and emotional needs. We are looking for passionate, energetic, and caring individuals to join our team across the South West and continue to make a positive impact.

Shift pattern: 16–24 hours (including sleep-in) on a one-on-two-off or two-on-four-off basis
Key Responsibilities:
Your role as a Senior Support Worker may include the following:
Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager when needed
Ensuring that the Residential Care Worker team is up to date with all mandatory training and supporting their development
Communicating with the team to raise awareness of individual care plans and their implementation
Maintaining accurate written records, logs, and files to support ongoing monitoring and evaluation
Contributing to team meetings and promoting staff development
Providing direct care and support to the young people
Encouraging young people to engage with their education or assist in their return to schooling
Supporting young people with transportation to and from school or college
Preparing meals and maintaining the home environment (cleaning, laundry, etc.) to ensure a positive space for the young people
Organising and facilitating social activities

Requirements:
Full UK driving licence
A desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification in the Children & Young People’s Workforce
12 months of senior experience in a residential setting is highly desirable, but we also encourage applications from those beginning their career
Successful candidates will undergo DBS and reference checks in line with government regulations and safer recruitment practices
